The ‘Positive about Breastfeeding’ scheme aims to facilitate greater acceptance and promotion of breastfeeding in commercial, health and community settings, with the overall goal of increasing the numbers of mothers who feel comfortable and confident to breastfeed their baby.

The criteria to achieve this award

• Babies can be breast fed anywhere in any public area
• They will implement a breastfeeding policy
• All staff will be made aware of how to implement the policy

The venue/organisation welcomes mothers to breastfeed their babies in any public area on these premises. All staff will support the needs and rights of mothers’ breastfeeding. There will be clear signage advertising the commitment to being Positive about Breastfeeding.
